We’ve been under the influence of clouds and occasional rain for days. In fact, Hingham has picked up 2.34″ of rain from Sunday through Thursday. Now, just in time for the weekend, the sun will prove that it does still exist!
After areas of fog in the morning, some sun will break through on Friday allowing temperatures to warm into the 60s. However, that sun will be somewhat destructive in nature since it will help to spark off some afternoon showers, downpours, and even thunderstorms. A few of those storms will likely contain small hail since the upper atmosphere will be so chilly.
Notre Dame Academy of Hingham will hold its graduation ceremony outside at 5 PM, assuming those downpours and storms hold off. They will be very random in nature, so the situation will need to be monitored. You can do so using our StormTracker Radar. Temperatures will be around 64 for the ceremony.
The downpours and storms that do fire up will die down after sunset, so the Red Sox-Cubs game at 7:10 PM should see few, if any impacts. Temperatures at game time will be around 60.
More sun will greet us Saturday morning, meaning that it will be pleasant for the Taste of Hingham downtown. The event runs from Noon to 3 PM, and temperatures will range from 65-69. Sun will fade behind increasing clouds during the event.
It will be cooler on Sunday, but we will still see partial sunshine. The Red Sox take on the Cubs again at 8:05 PM. Expect temperatures in the 50s for the game.
