Spring-time weather around Greater Boston is heavily dependent on wind direction. Wednesday was a reminder of that as the coastline remain locked in the 40s thanks to a northeast wind. Just a few miles away the sun poked out and highs climbed well into the 50s.
Onshore winds will remain in place for everyone on Thursday thanks to a small kink in the jet stream. That means highs will largely stay in the upper 40s, which is still above average for this time of year. Mostly cloudy skies will dominate.
A warm front will work through Friday, keeping lots of clouds and a few quick showers around, but temperatures will slowly warm into the 50s.
That will start out next warm-up, which will last into next week.
