Slap of Reality After Super Stretch

After a super long weekend weather wise, which featured temperatures near 70 degrees on Monday, we’re in for a slap of reality.

Gusty southerly winds will keep temperatures in the middle and upper 50s Tuesday morning, but an approaching cold front will spread clouds and periods of rain into the region as well. The wettest part of the day, which will also be the warmest part of the day, will stretch from about the morning commute through lunch-time. By afternoon the rain will be much lighter and more sporadic, and winds will flip to the northwest dropping temperatures into the 40s.

Sunshine will return with a steady breeze on Wednesday, but highs will only top out in the middle 40s after morning lows start near 30. That’s more or less where temperatures will stay right into the first part of the weekend.
