21-Month Warm Stretch Ends at Blue Hill

A chilly November broke a 21 month warm stretch atop Blue Hill.

From February 2011 to October 2012, each month came in above average. The average temperature was 3.8 degrees above the 120 year average during that time. That nearly two year stretch beat out the 15th month span from June 1990-August 1991 to become the longest above average stretch atop the Hill.

Despite a cooler than normal November, 2012 is still on pace to be the warmest year on record. Through November the average temperature is 53.1 at Blue Hill, just above the record 53.0 notched in 2010.
