Mostly Wet Late Weekend, Early Next Week

As we enter the week before Christmas our weather pattern will turn decidedly more active. For now, however, the first two storms will be more wet than white around Greater Boston.

The first storm arrives Sunday with light snow overspreading the area around lunch-time. With time, temperatures will warm enough to switch everything over to rain during the afternoon around Greater Boston. Before that transition some towns inside of 495, but north and west of Boston, will pick up a coating of snow. It will also be breezy along the coast.

Sporadic chilly rain will continue on Monday, before our next storm arrives with steadier rain Monday night into Tuesday morning.

A few more storms threaten late week, so check back for the latest forecasts.
