New Year’s Eve will dawn cold, sunny, and breezy. The gusty winds will die down a bit by night, however, and temperatures will gradually warm. In fact, thanks to mostly cloudy skies that develop by evening, temperatures during the evening won’t be all that bad by New Year’s Eve standards.
The mercury will be near 33 at 9 PM, and temperatures will only slide a few degrees by midnight. Most places will be near 30 as the fireworks go off. Keep in mind it will feel a bit cooler than that with winds between 10-15 MPH.
A bitter blast arrives Wednesday, with single digit morning lows and highs only in the 20s.
