A ripple of low pressure will ride along a stalled front to bring us a period of snow Wednesday.
The snow will break out overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, and will continue through the morning hours. As the morning wears on, I expect some rain to mix in along the coast and south and east of Boston. That will help limit snow accumulations. Regardless, the morning commute Wednesday is likely to be slick.
The precipitation will begin to wind down around mid-afternoon.
When it’s all said and done, expect 2-5″ of snow north and west of Boston. Around Boston, the coast, and areas southeast, expect up to 2″ thanks to that mixing for a time.
