Power Out ’til Thursday for Some on S. Shore

Power crews work to restore electricity in Plymouth, MassachusettsTens of thousands remain without power on the South Shore, now almost three days since a crippling blizzard struck Greater Boston.

While Hingham Light restored power to Hingham customers by Sunday night or early Monday morning, National Grid and NStar customers in surrounding towns are not so lucky.

National Grid expects customers in Cohasset to have their electricity back by tonight, while Norwell and Hanover customers will have to wait until Tuesday

Meanwhile, NStar projects restoration to come by noon Wednesday for Scituate customers still without power.

Residents in Marshfield, Duxbury, Kingston, and Plymouth may not enjoy complete restoration until Thursday night according to the company.

As it stands now, another storm will brush by Southern New England Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Right now it looks like at least a little snow will fall in Southeastern Massachusetts, but of course I’ll have more on that as we get closer.
